Biography Bina Seznia, an Iranian actress, was born and raised in Teheran, Iran to Eskandar and Mariam Seznia. Her mother's name, Mariam, is the same name as her grandmother's. She has three siblings, two sisters and a brother. Seznia moved to the United States in 1970 and currently resides in the Bay Area,California. Career Bina Seznia is an Iranian actress, who has appeared in many films, documentaries and T.V shows, including Rumi and Steppin Out in 1997. Seznia has been involved in theatre for most of her career. She appeared in a number of plays as The Shenestan Company during her time in Iran, such as The Bald Soprano, Death of a Salesman, and The Grand Street. She has traveled to different countries such as Mexico, Australia and Canada, to participate in several theatrical projects, films and television programs. She was part of a UNICEF tour in Mexico, where she participated in making films about children's right to health and education. Seznia also works in the Iranian theatre in the Bay Area. She is a founding member of Third Eye Theater and also is part of a production team that puts on classic Iranian plays with a modern twist.
